I have so many ideas for A and D if they are able to model this summer. Sunsets...Superior...Sailor... sounds like a dream session for me! Thanks for letting me photograph the two of you!

New nephew

I have a new subject! Z is a little brother to T. These photos are his newborn ones and at the same time that I did these I did T's one year photos. She got to go first to show Z how it was done. Once she was done we had to put her in her highchair so she wouldn't tackle Z. She got to watch from a distance while snacking on frozen peas.
T's photos will be next!
Grandma H made this colorful blanket.

My sister, brother-in-law and T welcomed new baby Z in November. So now my blog will be filled with photos of him!

Happy family photos!

Remember this family?LINK My brother J and his wife T and their adorable son R. We went out last night for R's one year photos and a family photo. I forget how busy a "running" one year old can be!

"Photo booth" from T and N's wedding

These are not my photos. Wendy was left in charge of the photo booth and did an amazing job! She ran it without me for two hours and I was so pleased with the results! THANK YOU WENDY!I just love the above photo.

Breath of fresh air! Why I LOVE my job!

This wedding took place in August. N and T were some of the most carefree people I've worked with. The place that they wanted to get married wasn't an option because of the windy weather so a quick location change had to be done. (It was just a matter of moving about fifty feet to the right...so not that big of a deal) Some people would've been very upset but not N and T! Here's a few details. We were able to get some photos of them in the spot that they had wanted to get married at so that was a plus! After the ceremony we took the family photos and then headed to another location.N is finishing up law school so a few photographs in front of a local Court house was a unique way to make their photos special. I love when couples do different things like this. Then we headed to the beach. We had such a blast!I kept the seagull just for fun!N and T had rented two vans for the bridal party to travel in. So everyone was always together. On our way to the reception we stopped at a special location to N.
This is only a small glimpse into N and T's day. We also stopped at a jamboree and one of the drivers sang a few songs while the girls danced. Then came the reception. I did something totally different there...N had wanted a photo booth...so I made one. She had collected tons of props for people to have photos taken in. I left my assistant Wendy to run that while I photographed the other parts of the reception. I'll have to post those photos later! This was such a refreshing wedding for me because W had never shot a wedding with me and throughout the day she kept reminding be that I have the coolest job. People invite me to hang out with them on one of the most important days of their lives. Sometimes I forget to think about that! So THANK YOU N and T for sharing your special day with me and W, and THANK YOU W for reminding me why I LOVE my job!

She's so smiley!

It was a beautiful fall day and I needed to take T's 9 month photos. She is one of the most smiley kids I've ever seen! We used a field near my parents house for this shoot.
Maybe she just likes to laugh at her crazy aunt. I don't even know if she knows what I look like cause I always have my camera in front of my face.

Stoped by for a visit, nobody was home

Today I went for a drive with another photographer friend. P knew of this old abandoned house so we went to check it out. The floor plan was awesome, the basement was flooded, windows were broken, I LOVED this door and almost wanted to take it home this me for art in my house. This photo will have to do. Some little critters made this their home.

They made sure to clean for company.

Beautiful vines hanging through the window.

Fall Flying!!!!

This past week I was able to go flying with T again. This time there was fall colors and open windows. It was so amazing with the wind in my hair and a camera in my hand!

The cliffs were so colorful!
A view of my parents house.
My grandparents farm.

I was trying to find a lake that a friend lives on...I don't know why they don't label them so we can spot it from the air... after flying around for a few minutes I thought this might be the lake... it wasn't. Oh well now I have to go flying again and this time I have GPS coordinates so I can find the lake. Turns out that the lake I was looking for was only a mile away. Somebody should label things though I think.
